New Bedford Police host another successful “Drug Take Back” day

Saturday, April 27th, was another successful National RX Drug Take Back program sponsored by the DEA. It was held at the New Bedford Police Headquarters at 871 Rockdale Ave.

The program resulted in 7 boxes of prescription medication, totaling 230.8 lbs. turned in.

As a friendly reminder, those who have expired prescription drugs can drop them off at each one of our patrol stations and headquarters. Each of our location houses drug bins where the drugs can be dispensed. If you choose to dispense your prescription drugs, they can be dropped off at the following locations:

• Police Headquarters: 871 Rockdale Ave.
• North End Station: 781 Ashley Blvd.
• Downtown Station: 572 Pleasant St.
• South End Station: 168 Cove St.
