New Bedford police arrest six following drug, prostitution investigation

Six people were arrested Tuesday at 10pm following an investigation into street-level prostitution and drug activity in the north end.

Arrested were:

• Rachel E. Hines, 25, homeless, sexual conduct for a fee and three warrant arrests.
• Sharee S. Cruz, 26, of New Bedford, sexual conduct for a fee.
• Amber L. Opozda, 27, of New Bedford, sexual conduct for a fee.
• Demetria Santiago, 40, of New Bedford, sexual conduct for a fee.
• Michelle Marie Gomes, 41, of New Bedford, sexual conduct for a fee.
• Peter Gajewski, 26, of New Bedford, possession of class B substance (crack cocaine.)
