New Bedford police arrest one, seize 284 grams of Fentanyl and 57 grams of crack cocaine

New Bedford Police Narcotics Unit took 284 grams of Fentanyl and 57 grams of crack cocaine off the street Friday and arrested a New Bedford man as part of an investigation into a Fentanyl distribution service being run out of 2094 Phillips Road Apts. 26 and 27.

Daniel Woodley Jr., 47, of 2094 Phillips Road. Apt. 26, New Bedford, was arrested on charges of trafficking in Fentanyl over 200 grams, trafficking in cocaine over 36 grams and possession of class B substance with intent to distribute, subsequent offense.

Bail was set at $15,000. He posted bail and is scheduled to be arraigned at Third District Court on Tuesday, Dec. 5.

Police executed a search warrant Friday at 2094 Phillips Road Apts. 26 and 27, where the distribution service was being run from. A search of apartment 27 yielded three bags of Fentanyl weighing 284 grams, four plastic bags of crack cocaine weighing 57.1 grams, a digital scale and packaging materials.
Police located $145 in currency from Apt. 27.
