New Bedford police arrest 14 people in weekend sweep

New Bedford Police Narcotic and Gang Units hit the streets again for another sweep arresting 14 people. On Friday afternoon Detectives arrested 11 and on Saturday another three were arrested.

Four people were arrested on outstanding warrants on Friday.

The following were arrested on Friday for narcotic violations.

Ryan Lafrance 40 of 103 Clifford Street NB
Possession of class B cocaine
And 2 warrants

Tyrone B. Barros 44 of 471 Dartmouth St NB
Distribution of cocaine

Nicole Danielle Goete 32 of 119 Phillips Ave NB
Distribution of class B cocaine
Conspiracy to violate controlled substance laws
Possession with intent to distribute class B cocaine
Possession of class A heroin

Michael Tidey 43 of 121 Lake Shore Drive East Falmouth Ma.
Possession of class B cocaine
Conspiracy to violate controlled substance laws
Operating motor vehicle with suspended license
Uninsured motor vehicle
Unregistered motor vehicle

Carrie Ann Fortin 43 of 106 Sarah Sherman Road Rochester.
Possession of class B cocaine
Conspiracy to violate controlled substance laws

Xavier Valetin-Soto 29 of 487 No. Fronts St NB
Carrying certain weapons on person. (found with a 3inch folding knife)
Trafficking Cocaine (63 Grams of cocaine)
Distribution of class B cocaine subsequent offense (2007 conviction)
Motor vehicle violations
Xavier was arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine just over a month ago, on 7/25/17 when Narcotic Detectives raided 358 No Front street in which 36 grams of cocaine seized.

17 year old male juvenile was also arrested and charged with motor vehicle violations.

On Saturday, Detectives arrested another three people on outstanding warrants.

  3. These people need help and society isn’t listening. That’s how things will change. These people I’m sure didn’t wake up and say when I am an adult I’m gonna be an addict. Society should not give tough love they need to help and that’s by hearing their cries.
