New Bedford Police Detectives arrest 37-year old man for Fentanyl trafficking

Narcotics detectives assigned to the Organized Crime Intelligence Bureau have arrested a New Bedford man for trafficking Fentanyl.

On September 20, 2021, a search warrant was executed at 76 Division St., #2. The target of the investigation was MANUEL CABELEIRA, 37.

As a result of the search, over 37 grams of Fentanyl was located along with digital scales, packaging materials, and $922 in cash. CABELEIRA was taken into custody. CABELEIRA has been convicted of drug distribution in the past. He was last convicted of possessing heroin with intent to distribute in 2014.

The arresting officer was Det. Nathaniel Almeida.
