New Bedford Police Narcotics Detective seize cocaine and cash after foot and car pursuit

Narcotics Detectives seized approximately 450 grams of cocaine and $4745 after brief vehicle and foot chases in the area of Padanaram Ave. and Cove. Rd. on Nov. 18. The street value of the narcotics is estimated to be over $45k.

As a result of the incident Crystal Peloquin 38, from North Providence, RI and Orlando Valentin, 39, of Westerly, RI were both arrested. Peloquin was charged with drug trafficking, failure to stop, and reckless operation of a motor vehicle. Valentin was charged with drug trafficking and is on probation in Rhode Island already for a narcotics related case.

Detective Lavar Gilbert led the investigation.
