New Bedford mom catches New Bedford Police officer in the middle of good deed

“When you’re at the park and a New Bedford Police Officer comes up to every single parent and says “Hey how are you today? It’s hot. How many kids are you here with? Go get them and have them pick out ice cream from the truck on me”

This officer is straight up buying all the kids at the park ice cream right now. Gotta be a solid 50 kids playing here too. He’s gone from the sprinkler to the playground to the soccer fields and grabbed EVERY kid. I’m pretty impressed right now.

Update: Officer Mark Conley (Cruiser 34 NBPD) just bought ice cream for 97 kids at Brooklawn Park on a 95° day. (Asked the truck driver how many kids to be sure).

Then he went on the playground for a few minutes to push some kids on the swing and the merry go round before leaving.
