New Bedford man charged with passing counterfeit bill at McDonald’s

On Wednesday, December 26, at about 5:30 p.m. Wareham Police Officer James White responded to McDonald’s Restaurant for a report of a person trying to pass a counterfeit bill. It was determined that the person at the restaurant had just received the bill from another individual.

After an investigation, Brandon Stowell, 23, of New Bedford is being charged with, uttering of a counterfeit note. Mr. Stowell was not on the scene and is being summoned to court to answer to this charge.
