New Bedford Man charged with two Break-ins at County General Convenience Store

The New Bedford Police Department detectives division placed a New Bedford man under arrest Thursday for two break-ins last month at County General convenience store, 518 County St.

Leon Baveas, 45, of 49 North St. Apt. 16, New Bedford, was charged with two counts each of breaking and entering in the nighttime for a felony, malicious destruction of property over $250 and larceny from a building.

The arrest was in connection with two breaks at the County General convenience store, 518 County St., at 4:40 a.m. Nov. 24 and 11:15 p.m. Nov. 28.

Police executed a search warrant at his residence at 49 North St. Apt. 16 and recovered the clothing the suspect was wearing on the days of the break-ins.
