New Bedford man arrested with heroin, Oxycodone and $27,758 cash

Last night at approximately 8pm members of the Organized Crime and Intelligence Bureau executed two search warrants at 1934 Acushnet Ave. apartments 1 and 2. This was the result of a drug distribution service investigation that was conducted by Det. Jonathan Lagoa.

The target was taken into custody without incident when he was found outside of his home.

oliverAs a result of a search of both apartments and an adjacent garage, the following was seized;

65 grams of heroin, 301 Oxycodone tablets, 60 methadone pills, a small bag of cocaine, packaging materials and $27,758 in cash. The drugs have a street value of approximately $10,000 and the location of the raid was within 100 feet of Brooklawn park.

Scheduled to be arraigned this morning in New Bedford district court on drug trafficking charges, as well as, possession with intent to distribute within 100 feet of a playground;
