New Bedford man arrested for crack cocaine distribution in Dartmouth

On Tuesday, July 16, at approximately 1:45 p.m., Dartmouth Police Narcotics Detectives conducted a motor vehicle stop at the Dartmouth Motor Inn. During the corresponding investigation, detectives located approximately 9 grams of suspected crack cocaine inside of the vehicle.

As a result of their investigation, 24-year-old Joshua Washburn of New Bedford was arrested and charged with possession of crack cocaine with the intent to distribute and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

At the time of his arrest, Washburnhad approximately $1,100 in cash on his person that was seized.
