Four suspects arrested in New Bedford home invasion

This morning at approximately 2:40am a home invasion was reported in the 1600 Block of Acushnet Ave. The suspects and the victim are known to each other. The suspects forced their way into the apartment and pointed a gun at the victim. They stole his laptop and two cell phones. The victim was not harmed.

Officers Jesse Branagan and Kenneth Mendes were first on scene and were able to track the culprits to 1671 Acushnet Ave. on the second floor above the Ecco Lounge. Detectives were notified and a search warrant was obtained for the apartment. The victim’s property was located inside. Also during the search, three firearms were recovered.

A 9mm Glock with a 15 round magazine, a 9mm Sig Sauer with a 20 round magazine, and a 45 caliber Smith and Wesson Revolver with the serial numbers obliterated. Approximately 40 rounds of ammunition was also recovered along with a small amount of cocaine packaged for retail sale.

Scheduled to be arraigned this morning in New Bedford District Ct.

Kevin Hill age 31 of Acushnet Ave.
Jomone Lloyd age 40 of Acushnet Ave.
Brittany Gomes age 19 of Acushnet Ave
Tyrone Lee Johnson age 18 of Thomas St.

All are facing charges of Armed Home Invasion, Armed Robbery, Possession of firearms without a license, as well as drug charge.
