New Bedford High School students go on history walk on city’s 175th anniversary

“Did you know that yesterday was a milestone birthday for New Bedford?

While the town dates to 1787, New Bedford officially became a City 175 years ago, in 1847 – and coincidentally, a new generation of residents learned about local history on a walk through downtown.
