New Bedford Guide Video of the Month Contest – $500 prize

New Bedford Guide is hosting a Video of the Month contest for the months of April and May. We are looking for amateur and professional video producers to submit their videos. The first place winner each month will take home $500. Entries must be submitted by April 25th to be considered for April’s contest. The contest is sponsored by Mirasol’s Cafe.

THEME

• There is no theme for April! Shoot a short-film, timelapse, hyperlapse, interview, talent showcase or other videos.

RULES

1. Videos must be shot in 720 resolution or higher (1080, etc)
2. Videos must be submitted in the following format: MPG-4, AVI or MOV
3. If using a phone, video must be shot horizonally. Please do not send us vertical videos with black side borders.
4. All video must be original and not already published on the internet.
5. You give us the right to upload the video to New Bedford Guide’s Facebok and YouTube page.
6. Minimum of 10 videos must be submitted to make the contest valid.
7. You must get permission from all people shown in the video.
8. You must get permission for any music, images, video or other items used in the video. Do not use music, images or videos unless you have permission from the owner.
9. By submitting a video to New Bedford Guide, you allow us to use the video at anytime for any type of promotion in the internet, on TV or other mediums.
10. Contestants can submit unlimited videos.
11. No nudity or other inappropriate behavior in the video. New Bedford Guide reserves the right to decline any video.
12. There are no time limits, but 5 minutes or less is recommended.
13. We reserve the right to change these rules at any time without notice. Monitor our website and our Facebook page for updates.

HOW TO SUBMIT A VIDEO

• Submit your video to info@newbedfordguide.com or send it to us on Facebook.
• For larger files, use Google Drive, DropBox or some other storage service. Provide access to info@newbedfordguide and send us access.

PICKING A WINNER

• The winner will be picked from the top 10 most viewed videos during the month.
