New Bedford emergency shelter open Sunday and Monday

The New Bedford temporary emergency shelter at 634 Purchase Street will be open to anyone in need on Sunday, Feb. 8th and Monday, Feb. 9th. The shelter will be open from 7pm until 5am each day.

The shelter is in need of sandwich meat, casseroles, paper goods, juice, soup snacks and other food items. They also need a few volunteers to man the shelter. Shifts are 7pm-12am and 12 -5am. Contact Pete Wilde at 978-866-9499.
