“On May 11, detectives assigned to the “Organized Crime Intelligence Bureau”, executed a search warrant at 171 Aquidneck St., Apt. #3, bringing a close to their investigation into a cocaine delivery service being operated out of there. The target of the investigation was Mr. JERED JONES, 41.
Following a search of the apartment, detectives discovered a 9mm firearm loaded with a large capacity magazine holding 24 rounds. They also located several baggies of fentanyl, several baggies of crack cocaine, packaging materials, 8 rounds of .22 caliber bullets, and over $1500 in cash. This cash was later seized because of the nature of his charges.
JONES has numerous prior convictions around the Boston area for a variety of offenses including larceny, kidnapping, armed assault with intent to rob, and assault with a dangerous weapon. He now stands charged with possession of classes “A” & “B” with intent to distribute. He is also charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, a high-capacity feeding device, and ammunition.
