New Bedford Police Detectives charge man for trafficking Fentanyl in excess of 100 grams

On August 31st, 2021, detectives assigned to the Organized Crime Intelligence Bureau concluded an investigation into a drug delivery operation being conducted by BRIAN WEBER, 37. A search warrant was executed at his residence, 619 County St., 1E. During this search, detectives located over 100 grams of fentanyl, 2 bags of crystal methamphetamine, digital scales, and packaging materials. $841 in cash was also seized as proceeds from drug distribution.

WEBER has been charged with trafficking fentanyl in excess of 100 grams and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

The lead investigator was Det. Matthew Sylvia. This arrest was made on the evening of “International Overdose Awareness Day,” during which city officials and community activists come together to acknowledge the opiate epidemic, and to re-affirm their commitment to saving the lives of those battling addiction.
