New Bedford community to gather Tuesday at City Hall to unite against violence

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” MLK Jr.

After the horrific events of this past Saturday in Charlottesville, Virginia, the senseless violence a coming together from every community is necessary.

The senseless death of Heather Heyer and injury’s to 19 others in the car attack and a total of 34 hurt or injured, including two helicopter police officers who died that day demands a response from reasonable and caring people.

City officials, Faith and Community leaders of the Greater New Bedford area will gather tomorrow, Tuesday night, 6:00pm on New Bedford City Hall steps in unity against hate and violence.

We invite the entire community to come out, remember those who’ve died, pray for those who are injured. We will stand together to support one another and to show that a diverse community can come together, indeed that’s where our strength in overcoming hate will truly come from.

PASS THE WORD!!!
