New Bedford cold weather overflow shelter activated for Thursday

From the Program Manager at Sister Rose House:

Due to the expected frigid temperature for this evening, the overflow shelter at Sister Rose House on (71 Division Street in New Bedford will be opened this evening.  The capacity is 25 and it is a first come, first come basis.  Guests should plan to arrive at 6pm and not before. The cut off time for entry into the overflow will be 8pm.  Guests will have the opportunity to have a meal, take a shower and get a good night’s rest. 

As a reminder, Sister Rose is a drug free environment.  Any substances found will be discarded.   The overflow will tentatively will be open on Friday, Saturday and if the forecast changes potentially Sunday. Any Inquires can be forwarded to Sister Rose and 1-800-homeless.
