NBSO Awards Lamoureux Music Scholarships

Keegan Marshall House and Keren Satkin were each awarded a $1,000 scholarship at the NBSO season finale concert

The New Bedford Symphony Orchestra is pleased to announce the recipients of the annual Lillian B. Lamoureux Music Scholarships. Established in 2000 and named for the President Emerita and former president of the NBSO Board of Trustees, the scholarships are intended to help support young musicians as they pursue their music education.

Keegan Marshall House and Keren Satkin were each awarded a $1,000 scholarship at the NBSO season finale concert on May 10. Keegan is a pianist and is currently a sophomore at New Bedford High School. Keren is a flutist who will graduate from Old Rochester Regional High School this June and attend The Boston Conservatory in the fall.

The NBSO recently announced its 99th season, SPELLBOUND, with opening night on September 20, 2014. Discounted season subscriptions are now available; current subscribers wishing to keep their seats should renew by May 23. Single concert tickets go on sale August 8.
