The New Bedford Symphony Orchestra (NBSO) and Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust (DNRT) invite you to enjoy a free informal performance featuring a duo of NBSO musicians, violinist EmmaLee Holmes-Hicks and cellist Peter Zay. The concert will take place at the beautiful Slocum’s River Reserve in Dartmouth on Monday, October 10, 2016, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Music program to include Disney tunes, Italian songs, ragtime, fiddle, and light classical. Bring a blanket or folding chair, or just enjoy the music while walking the Reserve.

The Slocum’s River Reserve is located on Horseneck Road in Dartmouth, about 1.4 miles south of Russell’s Mills Village. The Reserve is owned and managed by DNRT in partnership with The Trustees of Reservations and is comprised of open fields, woodlands, and a saltmarsh on 47 acres overlooking the Slocum’s River. Please allow about 10 minutes to walk from the parking lot to the site of the concert at “Angelica’s Overlook.” In case of inclement weather, please visit dnrt.org or nbsymphony.org for cancellation information.

To bring music and nature together for the community to enjoy, DNRT and NBSO hope that this will be the first in a series of “Trail Music” concerts. You can learn more about the NBSO and DNRT by visiting their websites: nbsymphony.org and dnrt.org.
