NBPD seize heroin, stolen handgun in Brickenwood Housing Development apartment

Last night at approximately 9:30pm members of the Organized Crime Intelligence Bureau executed a search warrant at an apartment on Shawmut Ave. located in the Brickenwood Housing Development. This was after an investigation being conducted by Det. Lorenzo Gonzalez into drug dealing coming out of the apartment.

Once entry was gained, narcotics detectives seized heroin, percocets, $1,955, as well as, digital scales and packaging materials indicative of drug sales.

In a kitchen closet, a stolen, unsecured, Glock 9mm handgun was found loaded with 16 rounds of ammunition. There were three children in the apartment aged 9,10 and 12 belonging to the female. The handgun was stolen out of Raleigh, North Carolina.

Scheduled to be arraigned this morning on various firearms and drug related charges are;

  • Luis Miguel Lopez age 29 of Shawmut Ave.
  • Damaris Carrasquillo age 32 of Shawmut Ave.
