National Weather Service issues wind Wind Advisory for MA, RI and CT

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for all of Massachusetts, Rhode Island and northern Connecticut. The advisory starts this evening and continues into Sunday.

Westerly wind gusts up to 45 mph expected at times Saturday evening into Sunday. Gusts to 50 mph possible over the higher elevations in central and western MA.

Strongest winds may come in two surges. The first Saturday evening with a second burst after sunrise Sunday continuing into the afternoon.

Given many leaves are still on the trees there will be an increased risk for tree damage along with isolated power outages.
