National Weather Service forecasts significant heavy rains and wind gusts

Moderate to heavy rain and potentially damaging winds will hit Massachusetts Monday and Tuesday. Up to two inches of rainfall is expected. Wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour are expected on Cape Cod and the islands. Further inland, gusts between 25 to 40 miles for hour are likely for most of the state. The strongest winds are expected Monday evening.
