Mirasol’s Cafe closed Thursday due to staff member testing COVID-19 positive

Mirasol’s Cafe in Dartmouth will be closed Thursday, November 19, and will operate on a limited schedule until Saturday, November 28 due to one of their staff members testing COVID-19 positive. Mirasol’s also closed in May due to an employee testing positive to COVID-19.

Mirasol’s Cafe released the following statement:

“To our valued customers: We have decided to close the café tomorrow, Thursday, November 19th due to a staff member testing positive for covid-19, while away from the cafe. We are taking extreme precautions to ensure the safety of other staff members, their families, our customers, and the rest of the community by closing the café for a deep sanitization of the building even though the case did not stem from the café. We are working on a schedule with a small crew that was not present when the staff member was last in the café and will post that ASAP. Normal opening hours and days are predicted to resume Saturday, November, 28 going forward. This timeline is required and has been approved by the Town of Dartmouth Board of Health and will allow for the necessary quarantine period of all staff members who may have come in contact with the staff member who tested positive. Thank you all for your continuous support and understanding while we guarantee a safe environment for us all. We will follow up and update as needed.”
