Mike Herren charged in Fall River court with two counts of rape

A well-known figure in Fall River has been arrested on some disturbing charges. Former Durfee Basketball standout Mike Herren was arrested and charged this morning on rape charges. Herren was arraigned by video conference in Fall River court this afternoon.

According to information revealed in the court proceedings, Herren is charged with 2 counts of rape and one count of indecent assault over 14.

Sam Sutter, who was representing Herren, agreed with the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office on a $10,000 cash bail for Herren that will be posted at the Bristol County Sheriff.

The judge ordered Herren to stay away from the alleged victim and witnesses.

This is the third high profile case this month in Fall River involving sexual-related charges.

Herren’s next scheduled court appearance is July 2nd for a probable cause hearing.
