Last year we visited Mercy Meals and More and talked to Reverend Russ Chamberlain. The people and facility are a great resource for the homeless to get a free meal in New Bedford.They will be serving a Christmas Day meal and need volunteers! The lunch will be from 11 to 1 p.m. on Christmas Day at 634 Purchase Street in New Bedford. It is open to all who need a place for lunch on Christmas Day. They are in need of volunteers to help prepare, serve and clean up the lunch so others can go home to family events.
