MBTA to conduct emergency evacuation drills in New Bedford for South Coast Rail

“On Sunday, Nov. 19, from 10 a.m. to noon, the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority – MBTA will be conducting an emergency evacuation drill involving a Commuter Rail train in the area of the Whale’s Tooth parking lot in New Bedford.

The exercise is part of activities taking place as the MBTA prepares for the start of the South Coast Rail passenger service. In conjunction with the exercise, area first responders will also be receiving hands-on commuter rail equipment familiarization training.”-City of New Bedford.
