Mayor Mitchell meets with students from New Bedford’s sister city Grimsby, England

“I had the opportunity this afternoon to meet at City Hall with fifteen students from Grimsby, England, a sister city of New Bedford and once the largest fishing port in Europe.

We’ve developed a closer relationship with Grimsby ever since we visited there five years ago to see how it has reinvented itself into an offshore wind port.

Last week a group of ten New Bedford area students visited Grimsby, and thanks to the initiative of 3rd Eye Youth Empowerment, we had a chance to reciprocate.” -Jon Mitchell.
