Mattapoisett Firefighter takes break from training to rescuse trapped turtle

“While out performing some training at the Mattapoisett River the crew of Engine 1 noticed a small turtle stuck in barely little to no water in the herring run.

Firefighter Pimentel went down a ladder and was able to grab the turtle with no issue.

The turtle was relocated back into the river a further north where there was plenty of water and no place to get stuck again.” -Mattapoisett Fire Rescue.
