MassDOT Schedules Overnight Bridge Deck and Joint Repairs on I-195 Ramps over I-495

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing that bridge deck and joint repairs have been scheduled for the Interstate 195 ramps located over Interstate 495 in Wareham.

The work will take place overnight from 9:00 p.m., to 5:00 a.m., beginning on Monday, October 1, 2018, and continuing through to Friday, November 1, 2018.

The scheduled work will require the overnight closures of the following ramps:

I-495/Route 25 exit 1 to I-195 westbound;
I-195 eastbound exit 22B to I-495 northbound.

Traffic management will consist of posted detours with police details assisting traffic as needed.

Temporary detours will be in place for all motor vehicle traffic as follows:

For traffic traveling Route 25 northbound wanting to access I-195 westbound – Traffic will be detoured to I-495 exit 2 to I-495 southbound to exit 1 to I-195 westbound.

For traffic traveling I-195 eastbound wanting to access I-495 northbound – Traffic will be detoured to I-195 exit 22A to Rte. 25 southbound to exit 2 to I-495/Rte. 25 northbound.

Appropriate signage and messaging will be in place to guide drivers during these operations.

The schedule for this work is weather dependent and subject to change without notice.

MassDOT encourages drivers to reduce speed and use caution while traveling throughout this area.
