Massachusetts White Ribbon Day – 9 March, 2016

“The Boston Celtics is pleased to welcome back to TD Garden the Massachusetts White Ribbon Day Campaign to help raise awareness about the important role men and boys can play in ending violence against women and all gender-based violence.

During tonight’s home game, Celtics coaches and staff will wear white ribbons and fans will be handed white ribbon stickers to show their support for this prevention effort.

Bristol County District Attorney Tom Quinn added, “Violence against women is an issue that I will not tolerate. As District Attorney, I specifically see sexual and domestic violence on a daily basis. This destroys homes and communities and sets a poor example for our youth. Though the issue is rampant, change can be made. I’m Glad my office is once again participating in this initiative to bring attention to this issue. Even more, I am elated to know that we will be engaging men and boys in order to make a real difference.” “
