“This week members of the State Police Special Emergency Response Team (SERT) participated in Mountain Bike Training.

This is an intense two-day course packed with classroom and hands-on training located at both the Massachusetts State Police Academy and in the field … in this case, in and around South Boston.

The course was developed in-house to assist in augmenting law enforcement mountain bike units across the state. Troopers were taught crowd control formations and techniques, law enforcement riding techniques and skills, and proper maintenance of the equipment.”
