Massachusetts State Police Air, Marine, Dive Units assist operations at ongoing Lynn Woods wildfire

“Yesterday the Massachusetts State Police Air Wing, Marine Unit, and Dive Team supported firefighting operations at the ongoing Lynn Woods wildfire.

Air crew pilot Sergeant Kris Malm and Tactical Flight Officer Ken Dinjian conducted 24 water drops using a Bambi bucket.The air crew drew water for the drops from Walden Pond on the Lynn-Saugus line.

Because the helicopter is operating over water, Marine Unit and Dive Team personnel respond on these missions as a safety precaution.”-Massachusetts State Police.
