“A MORNING WELL SPENT

We were happy to team up today with Bellingham Police for another one of our Coffee with a Cop gatherings, this one at Dunkin’ on South Main Street. It didn’t snow as it did at yesterday’s Coffee klatch in Spencer, and the sun was bright — but like at all these events, the brightest part of our morning was meeting the local folks who stopped by to chat, share a concern, or just say hello.

Much thanks to Massachusetts State Police Troop C Community Liaison Trooper Farrah Gray, who organized the event, and Troop H Community Liaison Trooper Aaron Richardson, who assisted and showed attendees the bells and whistles of his cruiser. Thanks, too, to Bellingham Police Detective Amy Kirby and other members of her Department, for their partnership. And what would one of our Coffee events be without MSP members of the four-legged variety spreading joy the way only they can.

We were thrilled to be joined by Troopers Billy Newton and Giuseppe Ciampa of the MSP Mounted Unit with horses Amadeus and Scout, as well as Trooper Scott Irish of our Bomb Squad and his partner Pippin, who is trained in explosives detection. Our equine and K9 members were popular with all our guests. And of course, thanks so much to Dunkin’ for graciously donating the coffee. Please watch our social media spaces for info on upcoming Coffees with a Cop and other community events … we hope to meet more of you there.

Here are a few scenes from today:
