Massachusetts State Police investigating fatal wrong-way crash

State Police Investigate Wrong-Way Driver Crash, Fatality in Milton

This morning at approximately 5:00 a.m., troopers from the State Police Barracks in Milton responded to reports of a wrong-way driver crash on Route 93 southbound at Exit 3 in Milton.

A preliminary investigation found that a four-vehicle crash involving a wrong-way driver resulted in a fatality. One person was ejected from their vehicle. One person was entrapped in their vehicle. The reason that the vehicle was traveling northbound in the southbound of route 93 is under investigation.

The remaining facts and circumstances of the crash are currently under investigation by troopers from the Milton Barracks. Troop H detectives, State Police-Framingham, State Police Crime Scene Services Section (CSSS), State Police Collision Analysis Reconstruction Section (CARS), Milton and Canton Fire Departments, and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (Mass DOT) all assisted on scene. No further information is currently available. Please do not contact the barracks directly.
