Brockton man arrested in shooting death of 32-year old New Bedford man

State police detectives assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office and Brockton Police have arrested a man in connection with a fatal shooting on Friday.

At approximately 11:26pm on Friday, Brockton Police were alerted by Shotspotter and received several 911 calls reporting a shooting at 47 Highland Street. Police and emergency medical personnel responded and located a male victim in a parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds.

The victim was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton where he was pronounced dead. The 32-year old man has been identified as Earl Thomas of New Bedford.

Yesterday at approximately 1:10pm State Police Detectives assigned to the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office south and received an arrest warrant for Murder for Quieto Miranda (DOB 05/29/1990) of Brockton.

At approximately, 1:15pm Miranda was located and placed under arrest in Worcester. Miranda was booked at the Worcester Police Department and transported to the Brockton Police Department to be held. He is scheduled to be arraigned on the murder charge in Brockton District Court tomorrow.
