Massachusetts officials investigating fatal train strike of pedestrian in Natick

“On Monday, February 13, 2023, shortly after 4:20 p.m. Natick Police and Fire responded to a fatal train strike that occurred on the train tracks along East Central Street near the Natick/Wellesley town line.

Upon arrival, police located the deceased, a Natick man in his 50s on the tracks. He was pronounced dead on scene.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the man was struck by a Commuter Line Train traveling outbound from South Station to Framingham.

Officials announced a series of delays and train cancellations as a result of the incident.

This is an ongoing investigation being conducted by the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office, Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, MBTA Transit Police and Natick Police.”
