Massachusetts man arrested after allegedly flashing gun at women, toddlers in road rage incident

“On Friday evening 5/6/22 at approximately 9:25 pm there was a road rage incident on Beacon St. near Englewood Ave. in Brookline during which a male displayed a handgun at a vehicle occupied by three women and two children under the age of two.

An investigation determined that the vehicle was registered to a resident of Brockton, and area Departments were notified to be on the lookout.

At approximately 2:40 am the Boston Police Department notified our Public Safety Dispatchers that they had units following the vehicle near Harrison Ave. in Boston. With their assistance, our units responded and placed the suspect into custody. The vehicle was towed to Brookline Police headquarters, and a search warrant was requested. Upon issuance of the search warrant, our Detectives recovered a police ASP, a pellet gun, and a loaded firearm.

The suspect, a 38-year-old Brockton resident, is being charged with the following offenses:

• Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon (3 counts)
• Illegal Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm
• Illegal Possession of Ammunition
• Possession of a Firearm without a License
• Possession of a Large Capacity Feeding Device

He is due to be arraigned on Monday morning in Brookline District Court.” -Brookline MA Police Department.
