Massachusetts State Police charge four men with multiple firearm offenses, stolen property

On Saturday evening, at approximately 10:31 p.m., troopers assigned to the Troop D Community Action Team stopped a 2017 Chrysler 300 on Route 24 in West Bridgewater for motor vehicle violations.

After a brief investigation, the driver was identified as DWAYNE ROGERS-FLONORY, 29, of Dorchester, and the passengers were identified as MELQUAN NELSON, 27, of Roxbury, BLAKE A. AYLER, 27, of Dorchester, and EDWARD J. CLARKE, 27, of Boston.

The four occupants of the vehicle were found to be in illegal possession of three loaded firearms; a North American .380 pistol, a Ruger 9mm pistol, and a Smith & Wesson 9mm pistol. The Smith & Wesson pistol was determined to be stolen from Atlanta, Georgia. None of the vehicle occupants are licensed to carry firearms. CLARKE was also wanted out of Quincy District Court.

All four men were placed under arrest and transported to the Middleboro Barracks for booking.

In addition to a citation for two motor vehicle violations, ROGERS-FLONORY will be charged with the following:

1. Carrying a loaded firearm;
2. Possession/carrying a firearm, 2nd offense;
3. Firearm violation with 2 prior violent/drug crimes;
4. Carrying a loaded firearm;
5. Possession/carrying a firearm, 2nd offense; and
6. Receiving stolen property.

NELSON and AYLER will be charged with the following:

1. Carrying a loaded firearm; and
2. Possession/carrying a firearm.

CLARKE will be charged with the following:

1. Carrying a loaded firearm;
2. Possession/carrying a firearm; and
3. Receiving stolen property.

ROGERS-FLONORY was held on $7,500 bail, CLARKE was held on $8,500 bail, AYLER and NELSON were both held on $3,500 bail, pending their arraignment in Brockton District Court.
