Massachusetts State Police investigating fatal crash involving car and motorcycle

At approximately 12:15 a.m. today Troopers assigned to State Police-Milton responded to reports of a crash involving a car and a motorcycle in the area of 330 Truman Parkway in Milton.

Upon their arrival, they located the operator of the motorcycle, a 27-year-old man from Milton, on the roadway suffering from serious injuries.

Preliminary investigation shows the motorcycle, described as an off-road style motorcycle, was operating in a group with other off-road style vehicles when it was involved in a collision with a 2019 Chevrolet Impala operated by a 56-year-old man from Milton. The Chevrolet was then involved in a minor rear-end collision with a 2008 Dodge Avenger, operated by a 56-year-old man from Boston. The operator of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased at the scene. The operators of the other two vehicles were not injured.

The cause and circumstances of the crash remain under investigation by Troopers assigned to State Police-Milton, the Troop H Detective Unit, Collision Analysis Reconstruction Section, Crime Scene Services, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Troopers were assisted on scene by members of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, Boston Police, Milton Police, and Milton Fire.
