Troopers and explosive detection canines from the Massachusetts State Police Bomb Squad had an eventful weekend, providing security for The Northern Trust tournament at TPC Boston in Norton.

The annual stop on the PGA Tour draws some of the world’s top golfers (and top notch bomb teams!). Troopers Robert McCarthy and Michael Szawlowski and their partners, Admiral and Witten, conducted sweeps of all 18 holes, locker rooms and equipment, the trainers’ room, caddies room, mail delivery depots, and the media tent.

Throughout the four days, the MSP Bomb Squad also provided a constant visual presence and intermittent sweeps of delivered packages. Well done, Troopers and dogs, who finished at the top of MSP’s leader board.
