Massachusetts Environmental Police arrest man for placing razors in animal bait

In late August of 2019, Massachusetts Environmental Police conducted a brief joint investigation with Falmouth Marine and Environmental Services in the area of Goodwill Park in Falmouth.

The investigation found that an individual had placed razor blades into a tree within Goodwill Park and applied peanut butter around the area where the razor blade was present.

On Saturday, August 31, 2019, Massachusetts Environmental Police arrested a Falmouth man in connection with the incident. He was released on bail and will be arraigned on Tuesday, September 3, in Falmouth District Court on the following charges:

• Animal Cruelty;
• Wanton/Reckless Behavior, and;
• Wanton Injury to Public Trees/Shrubs.
