Today at approximately 1:30 a.m. Trooper Matthew Holden, assigned to the Norwell Barracks, was on patrol traveling on Samoset Street in the Town of Plymouth. At that time he observed a black Audi A4 operating erratically, unable to maintain any single lane of travel. He then activated his blue lights and siren and stopped the vehicle as it approached Pilgrim Trail.

Upon stopping the vehicle Trooper Holden observed multiple occupants, one of whom, later identified as ORLANDO ABREU, 20, of Carver, was moving around strangely while seated inside. Trooper Holden immediately requested the assistance of another cruiser and Trooper David Phan arrived minutes later. Both troopers approached the vehicle and noted a total of 5 occupants.

Trooper Holden informed the operator, identified as KEVIN PAGE, 26, of Plymouth, why they were stopped and requested his license and registration. While speaking with him Trooper Holden noticed one of the rear passengers, identified as SHAKEELE SCOTT, 26, of Roslindale, was breathing heavily and sweating profusely. Trooper Holden then noticed ABREU and recognized him from a prior police encounter.

Given the circumstances Trooper Holden asked ABREU to step out of the vehicle. As he exited, a black 9mm pistol was observed on the floor under SCOTT. No one inside the vehicle had a license to carry firearms. Trooper Andrew Gallivan and Officers from the Plymouth Police Department then arrived on scene to assist. All occupants were removed from the vehicle and temporarily secured in order to conduct a search. The search resulted in the discovery of approximately 68 grams of powder cocaine, 66 grams of crack cocaine, 1 gram of heroin, 18 various prescription pills, a digital scale, additional 9mm ammunition, and small amount of cash.

It was determined on scene the other two occupants were not involved with the firearm or narcotics and were permitted to leave. PAGE, SCOTT, and ABREU were all transported to the Norwell Barracks for booking where bail was set at $300 for PAGE and $10,000 for SCOTT and ABREU. They were all arraigned today at Plymouth District Court on the following charges:

KEVIN PAGE:
