On Friday, at about 10:45 a.m. a Wareham Police Detective spotted an individual driving a car in the Onset center area that he was aware had no driver’s license. The detective stopped the car on Onset Avenue near Zarahemla Road. After the vehicle stopped it took off before the detective could approach.

The car proceeded to Camp Street, where it swerved around a cruiser operated by Officer Mike Phinney. The pursuit was terminated by the detective as the operator was driving excessively fast. Within a few minutes, detectives received information that the suspect vehicle was to the rear of Shenanigans Bar and Grill. Officers proceeded to the area and placed the male under arrest.

Peter G. Rezendes IV (32), of Marion, is charged with, operating after revocation, fail to stop for police, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, and speeding.
