The fourth annual Downtown Run will be held in conjunction with the New Bedford Half Marathon on Sunday, March 18, 2012 from 12 – 5 pm. Downtown New Bedford, Inc. organized this event and produced a brochure and map guiding visitors (can be viewed/printed at the bottom of this article) to the participating businesses to eat, drink, shop. The “scavenger hunt” style event will be enjoyable for families and kids of all ages getting their map stamped from all the businesses allows participants to win great prizes.

This scavenger hunt styled event will lead participants to great prizes. Find each of the following businesses on the Downtown Run map, get the boxes stamped and drop off by 5 pm at listed locations to be eligible to win great prizes donated by our generous supporters. Drawings will take place at 6 pm. (you need not be present to win – we will contact all prize winners).

Free parking and shuttle service will be available in the Elm Street Garage and at the Whale’s Tooth Parking lot on Route 18 courtesy of the City of New Bedford and the Harbor Development Commission. Please feel free visit our web-site to download a copy of the brochure/map at www.downtownnb.org.
