This morning at approximately 10am New Bedford Detectives, State Police assigned to the Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section (VFAS), as well as, the United States Marshall’s office arrested a man wanted for a double murder in Puerto Rico that happened in 2008.
Officials in Puerto Rico were able to track down the suspect to the 3rd floor apartment on Brock Ave. in the south end. He was taken into custody without incident.
At the time of his arrest, he was in possession of a Massachusetts drivers license under the alias of Jorge Soto which according to RMV records he obtained in 2009.
He did admit to his true identity once he was shown the wanted poster of himself by detectives.
Scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon in New Bedford District court as a Fugitive from Justice is; Luis Carrasquillo-Lizardi age 36 of Brock Ave.
