Man charged with OUI drugs – possible overdose behind the wheel on Acushnet Avenue

Police were dispatched to the area of Marty’s Gas located at 2963 Acushnet Avenue for an unresponsive male in a running vehicle on Friday night at approximately 10:50 PM.

The unresponsive male was administered Narcan and treated for a potential overdose. Further investigation by responding Officer Williams revealed male was in possession of approximately 24 grams of cocaine. Male was identified as mark 35-year old Mark Springer of Fall River. He was arrested and charged with:

1. oui drug
2. operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license
3. negligent operation of a motor vehicle
4. outstanding warrant
5. trafficking class B cocaine
6. trafficking class B cocaine within a school zone. t/w Campbell Elementary school
