On Tuesday, November 11th at approximately 7:45pm members of the Organized Crime and Intelligence Bureau executed a search warrant at a Kempton St. apartment. The target of the investigation was seen leaving the home and he was taken into custody without incident.
As a result of the search, a 22 caliber Smith and Wesson revolver was recovered along with 105 rounds of ammunition.
The items were found in a suit case in a bedroom closet. The suspect does not possess a license to carry firearms and detectives are working on determining where the firearm came from.
Scheduled to be arraigned this morning on firearms charges in New Bedford District court; Hank Diaz-Azcona age 23 of New Bedford.
