On Saturday, June 22, at approximately 10 am, The New Bedford Police responded to the area of Brock Avenue and Portland Street after a woman called, stating a male had pulled up to her in his vehicle and exposed himself to her. The woman was able to provide a description of the male and the vehicle he was operating.
With the information provided by the victim, Police officers were able to locate the male, who was then placed under arrest. The male arrested, was identified as 41-year old Exequiel Abarca of New Bedford.
Mr. Exequiel was charged with open and gross lewdness and lewd and lascivious acts. The Detective Division is further investigating other similar incidents in the South End of the city that may be connected in the last two weeks.
